RETIREMENT BENEFIT: TIAA-CREF 403B
Eden II offers two plans that are available to staff to assist in saving and planning for retirement.

The RA plan (# 500627) is a 403B plan available to employees who have completed two (2) years of service and work a minimum of 1,000 hours per year. (The two (2) year requirement may be waived with prior not-for-profit/educational service. Please contact HR for further information.) The RA plan offers an agency contribution of 4.5% after a minimum of a 2.5% contribution by the employee. 

The SRA plan (# 500628) is a 403B plan available to all employees regardless of work schedule or length of service with the agency. The SRA plan is employee-only deferrals.

Employees may contribute the maximum amount allowable by IRS regulations to their 403B(s). For most employees, this amount is $18,000 total of employee contributions for year 2016 (the maximum of employee+employer contributions is $53,000, or 100% of the employee’s includable compensation, whichever is less).

Employees who will be 50 years of age or older by the end of the year may be eligible for the 403B plan catch-up provision which allows an additional $6,000 of employee contributions for 2016.

Both plans offer a variety of investment options to meet your retirement planning needs and are tax deferred.
